Ernest est un élan. Un élan très grand. Un élan trop grand pour le format d'un livre. Mais il est aussi très obstiné. Il veut à tout prix apparaître en entier sur une page. Alors, avec l'aide de son ami, le petit écureuil, il essaie en poussant par devant, en tirant par derrière. Rien n'y fait : il y a toujours un bout qui dépasse. Ernest perd espoir. Heureusement, son petit compagnon a une idée de génie. L'écureuil déniche un rouleau de bande adhésive, l'élan toutes sortes de papiers. Mais que fabriquent-ils ?
Ce qu'il faut en penser :
Entraide (« on a toujours besoin d'un plus petit que soi »), imagination et débrouillardise sont les thèmes de cet album un peu loufoque et surtout très tendre, qui met en scène un élan géant à la bouille plus que comique, un petit écureuil malin et sympathique, et. un livre réunis dans un « grand » album.
Il en va des odeurs comme des couleurs, cela ne se discute pas ! L'odorat est probablement le plus complexe de nos sens, le plus personnel et le plus intime, c'est pourquoi une même odeur peut être aimable et détestable à la fois. L'odeur de rose et de fleur de pommier, par exemple, peut être perçue comme une calamité, eh oui !
